Young Life begins in Chicago
Young Life launched in Chicago with George Sheffer at Marshall High School on the West Side. Over the following decade, leaders like Jim and Marge Chesney and Bud Ipema expanded the ministry into multiple neighborhoods, planting seeds for the growing movement we see today.
